Halma plc ('Halma' or the 'Group')
Acquisition
Halma plc, the global group of life-saving technology companies focused on growing a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day, today announces that it has acquired itemedical and Naslund Medical for its Healthcare Sector companies SSG and IZI Medical, respectively.
These bolt-on acquisitions strengthen Halma's position in specialist healthcare markets and reflect its disciplined, long-term approach to M&A. Both businesses add complementary capabilities to its companies and support growth in areas with strong long-term drivers, including hospital digitalisation and precision oncology.
itemedical is a Dutch provider of digital platforms that integrates real-time patient data and alarms from different medical devices, supporting clinical decision-making and workflow efficiency in hospitals. The acquisition enhances SSG's digital capabilities and expands its offering in hospital workflow management, supporting growth in a market driven by increasing digitalisation in healthcare systems.
The cash consideration for itemedical is €23m (approximately £20m), on a cash- and debt-free basis, to be funded from Halma's existing facilities. itemedical's unaudited revenue for the 12 months to 31 March 2026 was €7.8m (approximately £7m).
Naslund Medical is a Swedish company specialising in fiducial marker technology used to support targeted cancer treatment. Its core product, Gold Anchor®, enables more precise targeting of tumours during radiation therapy. The acquisition broadens IZI Medical's radiation oncology offering by adding Gold Anchor® to its existing Visicoil platform, supporting customers with a wider range of premium fiducial marker technologies. Naslund also brings an established international footprint, supporting IZI's ambition to expand globally.
The cash consideration for Naslund Medical is $45m (approximately £34m), on a cash- and debt-free basis, to be funded from Halma's existing facilities. Naslund Medical's unaudited revenue for the 12 months to 31 March 2026 was $9.2m (approximately £7m).
Marc Ronchetti, Group Chief Executive of Halma, said: "These acquisitions strengthen our existing companies by adding complementary capabilities in markets they know well, supporting their long-term growth while enabling improved patient outcomes. They operate in areas which have attractive long-term growth drivers and provide a strong platform for continued innovation and international expansion. We are pleased to welcome itemedical and Naslund Medical to Halma."
