In accordance with article 82 of the Securities Market Act, Endesa, S.A. hereby reports the following

SIGNIFICANT EVENT

Endesa S.A., GALP Energía España S.A. and Petrogal Sucursal en España have signed a purchase agreement on today’s date whereby Endesa is set to acquire the residential segment of the natural gas supply business in Spain for an enterprise value of 24.1 million euro, which will be adjusted to reflect working capital and net debt on the completion date.

The agreement is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities and is expected to receive the go-ahead in the second half of the year.
