Board Changes
zamano PLC (AIM:ZMNO, ESM:ZAZ), is pleased to announce that it has made additions to its Board. John Rockett will be appointed as a non-executive director of the Company and Chairman of the board of directors, with effect from 29 February 2012.
Mr. Rockett, 61, is a Chartered Accountant with extensive business experience obtained through-out his career. Prior to his current role as an independent financial consultant, he was the Head of AIB Private Banking between 1995 and 2008.
On the same date, Peter Furlong, 33, will also be appointed as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr. Furlong is an experienced investor and is currently a Director with Pageant Holdings, zamano's largest shareholder, prior to which he held roles as a Debt/Equity Proprietary Trader at RBS and Morgan Stanley between 2002 and 2007.
Finally, the Company also announces that, on the same date, Mike Watson will resign from his roles as Chairman and Director of the Company.
Pat Landy, Acting CEO, commented as follows in relation to these board changes:
"The board would like to thank Mike for his unstinting commitment to the company over the past five and a half years and would like to welcome John Rockett and Peter Furlong to the board. Building upon recent progress, the new appointees will bring renewed vigour to assist in the further development of Zamano"
