Statement re: Share price movement
Universe Group plc ("Universe" or the "Company"), the AIM (UNG.L) listed retail and loyalty systems group, notes the recent movement in its share price and announces that it has received a preliminary approach, subject to due diligence. This approach may or may not lead to an Offer being made for the issued and to be issued share capital of the Company. There is no certainty that an Offer will be made.
The Directors remain committed to pursuing a strategy which enhances shareholder value and believe that the Company's current share price does not properly reflect its prospects.
