Telit celebrates its 100th connected semiconductor fabrication plant

secureWISE IoT software platform reaches 98% penetration in 300mm semiconductor manufacturing market

London, April 3, 2017 - Telit Communications PLC ("Telit", "the Group", AIM: TCM), a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), celebrates its 100th installation of its secureWISE software platform in a 300mm semiconductor fabrication plant, or 'fab', out of a total of 104 fabs.

secureWISE, one of Telit's IoT Factory Solutions, has been providing over 12 years of secure remote IoT connectivity to tool manufacturers (OEMs) for the semiconductor industry.

Telit's secureWISE software is used by 18 of the top 20 OEMs and by every major integrated device manufacturer and foundry.

secureWISE delivers secure, configurable end-to-end remote IoT connectivity across a closed, private network. It enables fabs and OEMs to remotely collaborate, improving equipment performance at every stage of the process and lifecycle while protecting valuable intellectual property.

OEMs are now able to use IoT to remotely collect and analyse data from any global location to fix, as well as predict, issues with machines on the semiconductor production floor. This new service model results in improved uptime and higher reliability of production tools.

secureWISE is rapidly extending beyond 300mm fabs with new deployments across 200mm fabs, flat panel displays, solar and other manufacturing facilities.
