London, UK, 5 September 2013: Sierra Rutile Limited (AIM: SRX) ("Sierra Rutile") has received notice that, Jan Castro, the Non-Executive Chairman of Sierra Rutile, acquired 30,000 ordinary shares in Sierra Rutile on 4 September 2013 at a price of 54 pence per ordinary share. Following this transaction, Mr Castro holds 1,684,750 ordinary shares representing 0.32% of Sierra Rutile's issued share capital.

Sierra Rutile produces titanium feedstock industrial minerals (primarily rutile, with some associated ilmenite), as well as smaller quantities of zircon.
