Slingsby(H.C.)Plc26 October 2005 H C SLINGSBY PLC APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The board of H C Slingsby plc wishes to announce the appointment of Mr JohnRoger Waterhouse, as non-executive director with effect from 1st November 2005.Mr Waterhouse, aged 60, who has a physics degree from Oxford University, wasmanaging director of several industrial services companies in the IT, wastemanagement and construction sectors. He is a non-executive director and deputychair of North Bradford Primary Care Trust. Mr Waterhouse was a director of Webfell Group plc between 1998 and 2003. MrWaterhouse has not been a director or partner of any other companies orpartnerships in the last five years. Mr Waterhouse has: (i) no unspent convictions in relation to indictable offences; (ii) never been bankrupt or the subject of a voluntaryarrangement, or has had a receiver appointed to any of his assets; (iii) never been a director of any company which, while he was adirector with an executive function or within 12 months after he ceased to be adirector with an executive function, had a receiver appointed or went intocompulsory liquidation, creditors voluntary liquidation, administration or acompany voluntary arrangement, or made any composition or arrangement with itscreditors generally or with any class of its creditors; (iv) never been a partner of any partnership, which while he was apartner or within 12 months after he ceased to be a partner, went intocompulsory liquidation, administration or partnership voluntary arrangement, orhad a receiver appointed to any partnership asset; (v) never had any public criticism by statutory or regulatoryauthorities (including designated professional bodies); (vi) never been disqualified by a court from acting as a directoror from acting in the management or conduct of affairs of any company. The board also wishes to announce that Mr J F Slingsby, is to revert to NonExecutive Chairman of H C Slingsby plc from 1st November 2005.
