BOARD CHANGE - CHAIRMAN

Sepura plc (the "Company"), a leading global provider of TETRA digital radios, today announces the following Board change.

Philip Nolan, who is Chairman of Sepura plc, will step down as Chairman with immediate effect and be replaced by John Hughes.

Phil informed the Board of his wish to step down as Chairman of the Company to pursue other interests. The Nominations Committee conducted a search for a successor, led by Tim Bunting (Senior Independent Director), and is pleased to announce that John Hughes has agreed to join the Board as Chairman. Phil will stand down immediately after the AGM whereupon John will assume the Chairmanship.

The Board would like to thank Phil for the significant contribution he has made to the development of Sepura and to wish him well for the future.

Phil commented "Sepura has cemented its strong position in TETRA and set a new strategy for growth in DMR. I am delighted that we have managed to recruit a Chairman of John's standing and I leave confident that that the Company is in very good hands."

The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of John Hughes as Chairman of the Company. John brings with him a long and successful track record in the management and strategic positioning of complex, high technology businesses. John is currently non-executive Chairman of Spectris plc, Telecity Group plc, Intec Telecom Systems plc and Deputy Chairman of Parity Group plc, and a member of the Boards of Chloride Group plc and Barco nv. He is also an Alzheimer's Society Ambassador. He holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

John Hughes has previously held senior positions with a number of leading technology companies, including Thales Group, where he was Executive Vice-President and COO, and Lucent Technologies, where he was President of the GSM/IMTS businesses.
