REGENT INNS PLC (THE "COMPANY")
APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The Company today announces the appointment to the Board, with immediate effect, of Michael Foster as Chief Financial Officer.
Michael Foster, FCA qualified with Arthur Young in 1982 and joined the Company in March 2005 as Group Financial Controller. He formerly held senior financial positions at several large multi-site retail and leisure organisations, including Bhs, First Leisure Corporation PLC, Esporta plc, Scottish and Newcastle Retail, and Spirit Group.
He has no other Company directorships and, save as set out below, there are no further details required to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
Commenting on the appointment, Bob Ivell, Chairman of the Company, said:-
"We are delighted Mike is joining the Regent Board where his considerable knowledge and experience of both the Company and the sector will be a great asset ".

NOTE:
Michael Foster was a director of Stratus Holdings plc, an internet-based publishing company, from 2 October 2000 to 20 September 2001. Stratus Holdings plc was put into administration on 20 September 2001 and was dissolved on 27 December 2005. There was a shortfall of £821,726 due to creditors.
