Redline's Broadband Wireless Products chosen by Orascom Technology Solutions to connect QARUN Petroleum properties in Egypt
QARUN to link multiple drilling rigs with its head office using Redline's
award-winning RedCONNEX products
TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Redline Communications Group Inc. , a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX access and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that Orascom Technology Solutions (OTS), a Summit Technology Solutions Company, and Qarun Petroleum, a leading oil and gas company in Egypt, have chosen Redline's award-winning RedCONNEX(TM) broadband wireless products to connect multiple drilling rigs to Qarun Petroleum's head office.

The oil drilling rigs platforms owned by Qarun are located up to 30 kilometres (18 miles) from Qarun Telecom Center. In addition, Qarun Petroleum is establishing a new point-to-multipoint RedACCESS(TM) network, which will connect to its existing RedCONNEX network. Redline Certified Partner and systems integrator Orascom Technology Solutions, managed the network planning and installation of the RedCONNEX(TM) AN-50e network.

Qarun Petroleum Company (QPC) was established on August, 13th 1995, as an operating company for EGPC and the group consisting of Phoenix Resources Company of Qarun, Apache Oil Egypt Inc, and GNR Seagull at Qarun area of the Western Desert covered by the concession agreement between the government of A.R.E.
