Result of General Meeting
Porta Communications Plc ("Porta" or the "Company") (PTCM.L) announces that all resolutions at today's General Meeting have been duly passed.
David Wright, Porta Communications plc Chief Executive, commented; "We are pleased to have disposed of TSE Consulting SA ("TSE"), which historically took up substantial management time. The sale of TSE marks the first step in the refocus of the Company from a sports consultancy business to an international communications and marketing business, as referred to in the circular dated 28 March 2011, which strategy has today been approved by shareholders. The funds received will be added to our sizeable cash resources and utilised for the growth strategy we outlined in our announcement of 23 November 2010.
We are currently involved in a number of detailed discussions across all the disciplines of our business plan, which is highlighted on our website, and we would expect to conclude some of these discussions in the near future. Shareholders will be kept fully informed on developments.
