NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT

Plant Health Care (AIM: PHC.L), a leading provider of natural products to the agriculture and landscape industries, announces that Dr. Dominik Koechlin was appointed to its Board as a non-executive director on 30 January 2009.

Dr. Koechlin, 50, a Swiss national, graduated from the University of Berne with a doctorate in law. He also has an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Dr. Koechlin is currently a non-executive director of LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, and the following Swiss-listed companies: EGL AG, Swissmetal AG and Clariant AG.

Dr. Koechlin began his career working at Bank Sarasin in Basel from 1986 to 1988. He founded Ellipson AG in 1990, a business and management consultancy specialised in environmentally sound management and corporate financing. From 1996, he was a member of the executive committee of Telecom PTT and Swisscom AG.

During his time at Swisscom, the leading telecommunications provider in Switzerland, Dr. Koechlin was responsible for the redesign of the Swisscom business model, preparation for the IPO of Swisscom and development and communication of corporate strategy, as well as the international participations of Swisscom. Since 2001, Dr. Koechlin has worked as an independent board member and consultant for a number of listed and private businesses.

Dr. Albert Fischer, Non-executive Chairman of Plant Health Care commented:: "Dr. Koechlin has a great deal of experience in advising profitable, high-growth listed companies and will be a very strong addition to the Plant Health Care Board."
