Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

National World (LSE: NWOR) is pleased to announce that Sheree Manning has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, having served as Acting Finance Director since 14 September 2022. She has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Company's Board and will attend its Audit Committee.

In addition, Mark Hollinshead, an Executive Director on the Board, who has served as Chief Commercial Officer since 1 January 2021, now assumes the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Both appointments commence with immediate effect.

National World's Executive Chairman, David Montgomery, said:

"Sheree has proved an excellent member of our team which has benefited from her long experience in the business. She has smoothed multiple acquisitions over the last year, exercising financial and strategic rigour in their execution.

"Mark extends his role leading the commercial side of the business to overseeing operations including the integration of Business Insider, Midland News Association and Press Computer Systems, which have taken annualised Group revenues beyond £100 million."

Sheree has over two decades of financial management and business leadership experience. She joined Johnston Press plc in 2013 as Group Financial Controller having previously worked in London for, amongst others, RBS Group, IMG Media and Sainsbury's plc.

After reading a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of South Australia, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia with Ernst & Young in 2003.
