EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST
National Express Group PLC (the "Company") announces that it has been notified today that First Names Corporate Services Limited, as trustee of the National Express Group PLC Employee Benefit Trust (the "EBT"), has purchased 2,000,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Shares") at an average price of 311.8755 pence per Share.
Immediately following the above transaction, the EBT held 2,496,087 shares, representing approximately 0.49% of the Company's issued share capital. It is anticipated that all Shares held by the EBT will ultimately be used to satisfy awards and options granted under the Company's various share incentive arrangements.
The Executive Directors, namely, Dean Finch and Matthew Ashley, are included in the class of potential beneficiaries of the EBT and are deemed to be interested in the Shares and the dealings thereof.
