Motive doubles Datacasting speed
Motive Television PLC, the digital television technology, software, and services provider, is pleased to announce that its R&D team in Barcelona has achieved a 10 Mbps minimum guaranteed Datacast rate, halving its advanced services content distribution time for its clients and their customers.
This upgrade represents a doubling of the data transmission rate from broadcaster to the viewer's Set-Top-Box (STB), which permits a faster refresh of the range of content available. This is an important development for the Company, as it enables the opportunity for more content to be made available by broadcasters to consumers of Motive Television's Anytime Anywhere software platform.
The achievement was reached through technological advancements developed for the software libraries for the Television Anytime product in the company's Barcelona Laboratories.
Leonard M. Fertig, CEO of Motive, said, "Motive's engineering team, led by CTO Tony Combe, continues to enhance the performance of our Television Anytime Anywhere products and make them more valuable to our broadcast clients in terms of viewer advanced services offerings and attractiveness.
"This is another important step in the evolution of the Company's technology platform and will soon be available to present and future Motive customers.
"Motive intends to apply for US and European patents on this newly-updated Television Anytime technology."
