Statement re. Suspension
At the AGM the Board of Marchpole announced, "that trading conditions in the current financial year continue to be extremely difficult as a result of the deterioration in consumer markets, following the ongoing global financial crisis.
The Board is taking all appropriate measures to deal with the current challenging economic environment and is maintaining a regular dialogue with the Company's bankers, in common with most other businesses exposed to the retail sector."
Pending the outcome of those discussions the Company has, accordingly, requested that the FSA suspend the Company's listing and trading in the Company's shares on the London Stock Exchange pending clarification of the Group's financial position.
