Local Shopping REIT plc ("the Company") - Transactions in Own Shares

The Company announces that on 13 January 2009 it purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 25,000 ordinary shares at a price of 32.75 pence per share.  

The shares purchased have been transferred to the trustee of the Company's employee benefit trust, LSR Trustee Limited ("the Trustee"). No consideration was paid for the shares transferred.

The shares were transferred to the Trustee for the purpose of satisfying awards made by the Trustee under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan when such awards are exercised.
