Canadian competition approval obtained for the acquisition of Vicwest Building Products
Further to the announcement on 11 November 2014, Kingspan Group plc ("Kingspan") is pleased to announce that it has today reached a Consent Agreement with the Canadian Competition Bureau in relation to the acquisition by Kingspan of Vicwest Building Products.
The Consent Agreement requires the disposal by Kingspan of the insulated metal panel facility at Hamilton Ontario within an agreed time period following completion of the acquisition.
Having already been approved by the shareholders of Vicwest Incon 23 January 2015, and by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on 30 January 2015, the transaction is now expected to complete imminently.
