The Board of GMA Resources Plc today announces theimmediate appointment of Mr Douglas Perkins as CEO. He succeeds Mr Colin Ikinwho remains on the Board of Directors. Douglas George Perkins, aged 53, has had wide experience in all aspects ofmining from embryonic exploration to mature operations. In the past 5 years, Mr Perkins holds or has held the following positions wherehe was acting in the capacity of a director: January 2003 - October 2005 Orezone Resources Inc. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer March 2000 - December 2002 Perkins International President Febuary 1999 - March 2000 Lyon Lake Mines Inc. Chief Financial Officer There is no other information that is required to be disclosed pursuant toSchedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules. Mr Colin Ikin has relinquished his duties as CEO of the Company with immediateeffect. However he will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director and hewill continue to provide corporate advice and assist the new CEO in thistransition period. The Board has been informed that Mr Simon Farrell has resigned as a director ofthe Company with immediate effect.
