Board Change

Johnston Press plc (the "Company") advises that Ian Russell, Chairman of the Company has decided to step down from the Board due to an acute illness in his family and will cease to be a director of the Company with effect from 31 December 2016.

Camilla Rhodes, currently Senior Independent Director, will become interim Chairman from 1 January 2017. The Company has commenced the process of identifying a replacement for Mr Russell.

This announcement is made in accordance with paragraph 9.6.11R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
