NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT (LR 9.6.11 and 9.6.13)

The Board of JPMorgan Elect Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Davina Walter and Mr. Steve Bates as Non-Executive Directors of the Company with effect from 15th October 2020.

Mrs. Walter is currently engaged as an investment consultant having started her career at Cazenove & Co where she spent more than 11 years involved in US equity research. She spent over 16 years as an investment manager of US equity portfolios, most recently as a Managing Director at Deutsche Asset Management. She has been actively involved with investment trusts since 1985 and is currently Chairman and a director of Aberdeen Diversified Income & Growth Trust plc. 

Mr. Steve Bates is currently serving as Director and Chief Investment Officer of GuardCap Asset Management Limited and is also a Director of GuardCap UCITS plc and Biotech Growth Trust plc. He has served as the head of emerging markets at JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, a business he established for predecessor organization (Flemings) in 1990. Steve is non-executive Chairman of Vinacapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited and of Third Point Offshore Investors Limited.

Commenting on the proposed appointment Mr. Alan Hodson, Chairman of the Company stated:

Mrs. Walter holds 1,500 Managed Growth shares and 3,500 Managed Income shares in the Company.

Mr. Bates holds 250,596 Managed Growth shares in the Company.

There are no other disclosures required to be made for the appointments in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.
