JKX Oil & Gas plc (LSE: JKX)

Completion of Placing

Further to the announcement released by JKX Oil & Gas plc (the "Company" or "JKX") in respect of its intention to raise £37.8 million before expenses, the Company is pleased to announce the completion of the placing of 14,257,270 new ordinary shares in the Company ("Placing Shares") with institutions at a price of 265 pence per Placing Share (the "Placing").

Applications have been made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to the Official List of the Financial Services Authority and for admission to trading by London Stock Exchange plc on its main market for listed securities. Admission is expected to take place, settlement to occur and dealing in the Placing Shares to commence at 8.00 a.m. on 29 January 2010. The Placing is conditional upon, inter alia, Admission becoming effective.
