Change of DirectorJardine Matheson Holdings Limited (the 'Company') announces that Simon Keswick will be retiring from the Board of the Company with effect from 1st January 2020.Executive Chairman and Managing Director Ben Keswick said:"Simon has been central to Jardine Matheson for over half a century and, working closely with his brother Sir Henry Keswick, has played a key role in the development of the Group over that period. During his time as Chairman and Managing Director he was instrumental in shaping the Group's structure as we know it today and he also led the refocussing of a number of the Group's activities, including Jardine Pacific and Dairy Farm. He has continued to be closely involved as a director in the growth of Jardines over subsequent decades, and especially in the transformation of our former insurance business, Jardine Lloyd Thompson. We wish him all the very best for the future."Simon Keswick joined the Jardines Group in 1962 and served in Hong Kong, North America, Japan and Singapore, before being appointed as managing director of the Group's operations in Australia in 1972, when he also became a Director of the Company. He was chairman of Jardine Insurance Brokers in London from 1977 to 1982, when he returned to Hong Kong to become managing director for Jardines' international operations. He was Chairman and Managing Director of the Group from 1983 to 1987. He is also a Director of Dairy Farm International Limited, Hongkong Land Holdings Limited, Mandarin Oriental International Limited and Jardine Strategic Holdings Limited, and will step down from these boards at the same time.
