OFT SECTOR INVESTIGATION

Interserve Plc, the services maintenance and building group, notes the recent comment relating to the ongoing Office of Fair Trading (OFT) review of tender activity in the construction sector, which has been reported as involving many companies in the sector.

Interserve confirms that it is in correspondence with the OFT regarding 16 tenders submitted between 2000 and 2005. The tenders relate to part of the Regional Building Division of the Project Services business and represent a very small proportion of the bidding activity of the Division during the period.
