Half Year End Trading Update

Investor and Analyst Teach-in

Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group plc ("Ubisense" or the "Company") (LSE: UBI), a market leader in location based smart technology, provides an update on trading performance for the half year to 30 June 2013.

During the period the Group achieved record orders of approx. £17 million - an increase of 83% over the same period in 2012. This significant increase in orders across the whole business is a reflection of the increased demand for the company's software solutions encompassed in its real time location intelligence platform being adopted by leading Manufacturing Companies, Telecoms and Utilities. New orders include major blue chip customer wins.

The Group has a strong balance sheet and had net cash of £2 million at 30 June.

Richard Green, Chief Executive, said: "The group has had a tremendous start to 2013 resulting in a strong order book and good forward momentum. We expect this momentum to continue into the second half, which gives the Board confidence in meeting its expectations for the year."

Ubisense is hosting an event for investors and analysts today at 3pm at the offices of FTI Consulting. Ubisense management and representatives from Google and Cablevision will present the technology and business drivers that are influencing customers' current needs. These drivers are leading to a market where indoor and outdoor technologies, and Internet data and customers' own enterprise data are increasingly converging. This means that the needs of Ubisense's utility and telecom customers - traditionally buyers of Ubisense's Geospatial divison - are merging with those in the manufacturing industry - who traditionally buy from Ubisense's RTLS product suite. With software and services addressing all of these customer needs, Ubisense is seeing excellent new opportunities for growth, as evidenced by the changing face of its order book in H1. The presentation to be given will be available on Ubisense's corporate website (www.ubisense.net) and no new financial information will be disclosed.

Ubisense expects to publish Preliminary Results for the half year to 30 June 2013 in the week commencing 9 September 2013.
