Headline: Permanent TSB announces new director

The Chairman of Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc (PTSBGH), Robert Elliott, has today announced the appointment of Donal Courtney to the Board of PTSBGH as a Non-Executive Director. Donal will take up his appointment with immediate effect.

Donal, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, is an experienced finance professional who has operated across a broad range of financial services, asset management and property investment operations. Donal is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk/Audit Committees for three Irish regulated institutions; Unicredit Bank; Dell Bank International and IPUT plc. Donal has previously sat on the Board of a number of companies in the aircraft leasing, property financing and private equity industries.

Upon appointment, Donal will Chair the Bank's Board Audit Committee and will also join the Board Risk and Compliance Committee.

Speaking today, Robert Elliott said that the appointment was part of the Bank's ongoing process of Board refreshment: "Donal's experience as a Non-Executive Director within the Irish financial services industry where he has served on both Audit and Risk committees will be invaluable to the Bank and I look forward to his contribution in the months and years ahead."
