Scrip Dividend Scheme
Following approval at the Company's annual general in 2009, the Company is offering shareholders the opportunity to take new ordinary shares in the Company, credited as fully paid, in lieu of cash dividends, by participating in a Scrip Dividend Scheme.
In relation to the final dividend of 12.44p per ordinary share for the financial year ended 31 March 2010, the price of a new ordinary share under the Scrip Dividend Scheme has been set at 398.5 pence. This is the average of the Company's middle market quotations for the Company's ordinary shares for the five business days commencing on the ex-dividend date of 21 July 2010.
Mandate forms must be received by the Company's registrars, Capita, by no later that 5:00 pm on 5 August 2010 in order for elections under the Scrip Dividend Scheme to be effective in relation to this final dividend.
The payment date in respect of this final dividend is 20 August 2010.
