Appointment of Chairman
Hornby Plc, the international models and collectibles group, is delighted to announce the appointment of John Stansfield as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company with immediate effect. John will step up from his current role as a Non-Executive Director, and Lyndon Davies will step down from the Interim Chairman position to focus on his role as CEO of the Company. The composition of the board's committees remains unaffected. Separating the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will enable the Company to comply with the recommendations of the QCA Corporate Governance Code.
John is a qualified accountant and spent 31 years with the Group, completing 12 years as Group Finance Director. John helped deliver some of the Group's most profitable years and has a wealth of experience in the toy and hobby sectors.
