Update on Water Flood Project

Nighthawk, a US focused oil company (AIM: HAWK and OTCQX: NHEGY), provides an update on the Company's proposed water flood project.

Update on Water Flood Project

On January 18, 2016, the Company received formal notification from the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission ("COGCC") that the Company's hearing for approval of its water flood project has been moved from 26 January 2016 to 7-8 March 2016. The continuance was made in order to allow the commission staff more time for further review of the information submitted, for the Company to submit a final plan of development and to allow for a response by the parties contesting the application. As is common in these hearings, the application is being contested, however, the Company and its lawyers are confident that it has a strong case and expect that the project will be approved. Two points of protest, a motion to dismiss the Company's application and a motion to exclude evidence, were ruled in the Company's favour and denied by the COGCC.
