NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PERSONS 

The Company has been notified that, on 23rd June 2009, Dr Geoffrey Guy, a Director of the Company, transferred 459,324 ordinary shares of 0.1p to his personal pension scheme. The transfer amounts to 0.38% of the issued ordinary share capital.

Following this notification Dr Guy's beneficial interest remains unchanged at 19,856,063 ordinary shares, amounting to 16.4% of the shares in issue.
