GSH Group plc (AIM: GSH), the international provider of bespoke facilities management and energy management solutions, announces today that David Simons, Chief Financial Officer and interim Chairman will leave the Board with immediate effect. Mr Simons will continue to be employed by GSH to ensure an orderly handover and expects to leave the Group in twelve months. The Group is currently in the process of recruiting a permanent Chief Financial Officer and an appointment will be announced in due course.
Furthermore, Rob Painting, currently the Senior Non-Executive Director, will take over the role of interim Non-Executive Chairman, with immediate effect. An announcement regarding the appointment of a new Chairman will be made in due course.
Commenting, new interim Chairman Rob Painting said:
"I am delighted to be appointed as interim Chairman of GSH Group, David has played an extremely important part in the Group's growth, and I look forward to his continued, and valued, support over the next twelve months."
As announced on the 13th October, current trading remains in line with Board expectations and the Group exited the year ended 31 July 2008 trading positively. There is strong demand for the Group's services and the Board looks forward to the future with confidence. Preliminary results for the year ended 31 July 2008 will be announced on Thursday 23 October 2008.
