Fairpoint Group plc (the "Group"), the leading provider of advice and solutions to financially stressed consumers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda West as a new, independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

Amanda, who is aged 50, is currently Global Head of Strategic Marketing Operations, Thomson Reuters, having held senior positions for over 20 years with Thomson Reuters and Reuters in strategy, product development, marketing and innovation roles. She is also Deputy Chair of the Waterford School Charitable Trust and a mentor at Seedcamp, the micro-seed investment fund.

At the same time, Perry Blacher is resigning from the Board with immediate effect to concentrate on his other business interests.

In accordance with Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules, Amanda West has not held any other directorships/partnerships in the five years preceding her appointment at the Group.

Save as set out above, there is no further information to be disclosed in respect of Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules.
