Re: Ryanair Announcement
Flybe Group plc ("Flybe") notes the announcement made by Ryanair Holdings PLC ("Ryanair") earlier today relating to the notification it had received at a State of Play meeting with the EU Commission that the EU Commission intends to prohibit Ryanair's offer for Aer Lingus Group PLC. Flybe is disappointed by this news and will await the outcome of the appeal process Ryanair also referred to in that announcement.
The proposed transaction with Ryanair to transfer a number of aircraft and operating routes to Flybe is contingent upon the EC's approval of Ryanair's proposed remedies and a successful bid by Ryanair for Aer Lingus.
Flybe will continue to focus on the delivery of the cost reduction and efficiency plan announced on 23 January 2013.
