Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Fyffes plc is pleased to announce the following Board appointment:

Jim O'Hara (61) has joined the Board as a non-executive director with immediate effect. He is a former Vice President of Intel Corporation and General Manager of Intel Ireland, where he was responsible for Intel's technology and manufacturing group in Ireland. He is a Board member of Allied Irish Banks plc, EBS and Enterprise Ireland. He is also Chairman of a number of start-up companies.

Full details of his current and past directorships within the last ten years will be provided under a separate regulatory filing. There are no other items requiring disclosure in accordance with Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules and the ESM Rules. Mr O'Hara does not currently have any interest in ordinary shares in Fyffes.

Commenting on this appointment, Fyffes' Chairman, David McCann said:
