Earthport PLC19 December 2007 19 December 2007 For immediate release Earthport plc ("Earthport" or the "Company") Board Changes The Board of Earthport, the specialist electronic payments company, following ameeting held earlier this morning, is pleased to announce the appointment ofJames Bergman to the Board as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing. Jameshas been with the Company since February 2007 and has been working directly withthe sales team. He is a proven sales professional with a depth of experience inleading, managing, developing and driving all aspects of client relationshipsand opportunities gained in the IT and Finance industries at major globalinstitutions. James joined the Company from ZAN Partners Limited, an independent wealthmanagement firm, who assisted in the funding round of March 2007. Hisresponsibilities at ZAN encompassed new business development and marketing whichprovided an excellent background to the Financial Markets. From August 2004 to April 2006 he was Global Account Director at EMC ComputerSystems (UK) Ltd, where he successfully managed a portfolio of StrategicEnterprise Accounts within the Financial Services and Media Sectors to ensurethat all elements of the business relationship were maximized with a successfulend result for both the client and EMC. From June 2003 to August 2004 he was Business Development Director at Infonet UKLtd. This role consisted of selling Infonet's core products into globalmultinational corporations, often responding to bid requests and interfacingwith "C-Level" executives. Prior to this he was an Account Executive and Project Forward Sales Director atBT Plc Voice and Network Solutions (VNS). In addition, at the Board meeting Neil Clayton, Finance Director, informed theBoard that he was stepping down from Earthport to pursue other businessinterests and therefore would not be presenting himself for re-election at theAnnual General Meeting later today.
