Board Changes
Edenville Energy plc, the African coal exploration and development company, today announces two changes to its Board of Directors.
The Company is pleased to announce that Rufus Short has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Edenville, having previously been a non-executive Director.
His predecessor Mark Pryor in turn has agreed to remain on the Board as non-executive Technical Director. Both appointments take effect immediately.
Sally Schofield, Chairman of Edenville, commented:
"I am delighted that Rufus has accepted this new role within Edenville Energy. His varied skillsets, particularly his expertise in the coal sector, combined with his investment banking background, are just what we need to take the Company to the next stage in its development.
"However I am equally pleased that Mark is to retain an ongoing role at the heart of the Company, in his capacity as non-executive Technical Director. These appointments will ensure that Edenville is even better placed from a corporate and operational perspective to face the exciting challenges ahead as we continue to progress our growth strategy. The company is well funded to satisfy its immediate needs, and will continue to closely manage its operating costs."
