Simon Boddie to step down as Group Finance Director

The Board of Electrocomponents Plc announces that Simon Boddie is to step down as Group Finance Director at the end of the first half of the financial year after 10 years in the role.

Following the departure of the previous Group Chief Executive Officer, Simon engaged in discussions with the Board about his own future plans. Taking into account the new stage in the development of the Group's business and Simon's wishes, we concluded together that it was an appropriate time for him to step down. In order for there to be a smooth transition for our new Group Chief Executive Officer and to give us time to find a strong successor, Simon will continue with the business until the end of September.

Simon Boddie commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Electrocomponents. It is a great business with committed and talented people and I have been privileged to have been part of the leadership team during this period. After a decade with the business, I feel that now is the right time for me to hand over to a new management team and embark on the next phase of my career."
