e2v technologies PLC07 February 2006 7 February 2006 e2v secures two contract renewals worth £21m e2v technologies announces it has won two contract renewals worth a total of£21m. Both contracts are for existing OEM customers and are for products within e2v'selectronic tubes product group for use within radiotherapy cancer treatmentsystems. These products generate and deliver the exceptional levels of microwave powerrequired to drive the linear accelerator within radiotherapy systems, whichconvert the microwave power to X-rays used both in the imaging and radiationtreatment of tumours. e2v has been supporting this important application for inexcess of 30 years and works closely with OEM customers to improve theperformance and reliability of their systems. The largest of the contracts, worth £17m, and with delivery over a 3 yearperiod, is to supply Elekta, headquartered in Sweden with manufacturingfacilities in the UK and China. The second contract, worth $7m (£4m), is with TomoTherapy(R) Inc, based inWisconsin, USA. Delivery is scheduled over a 12 month period.
