Driver Group plc16 July 2007 DRV.L Driver Group plc ("Driver" or "the Group") Appointment of New Group Finance Director Driver is delighted to announce that Colin White has been appointed to the Boardas Group Finance Director with effect from 1 October 2007. He takes over theposition from Peter Cove, who steps down from the Board but remains with theGroup as finance director of the Group's principal trading subsidiary, DriverConsult. Colin, aged 45, is a chartered accountant with over 20 years' experience infinancial roles. Colin was previously Group Finance Director of Scapa Group plc,the AIM quoted global supplier of technical tapes and cable compounds, which hejoined in 2001, working there until November 2006. At Scapa Group, Colin jointlydeveloped and implemented a new strategy and business model which underpinnedthe turnaround of the business. Between 1991 and 2001, Colin held a number ofsenior financial and management roles at subsidiaries of TI Group plc, thespecialised engineering group which was acquired by Smiths Industries plc in2000. Latterly at TI Group, he was Finance Director of Dowty Aerospace Division,having been Finance Controller of Dowty North America and Finance and ITDirector of Dowty Hydraulics Ltd. Colin qualified as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton.
