Dairy Crest Group PLC26 January 2007 For Release 0700hrs Friday 26 January 2007 26 January 2007 Dairy Crest Group plc ("Dairy Crest")Appointment of Martin Oakes as Executive Managing Director Dairy Crest plc today announces the appointment of Martin Oakes as ExecutiveManaging Director, Dairies Division and as a member of the PLC board, witheffect from 1 February 2007. Martin, age 46, joins the company after spending six years with SomerfieldStores where he was Group Logistics and IT Director. Martin was a main Boarddirector of Somerfield plc between November 2002 and December 2005. Prior tothis Martin held various senior positions with Safeway, Wincanton Logistics andTibbett & Britten Group. Martin brings a wealth of expertise to the Dairies Division. He has wide-ranginggeneral management experience as well as specialist skills in logistics andretailing. Martin replaces Mark Allen following his appointment as Chief Executive of DairyCrest from 1 January 2007. Commenting on the appointment, Mark Allen, said: "We are delighted to welcome Martin to the Board of Dairy Crest. Hiswide-ranging business, logistics and retail experience will add tremendous valueto the ongoing development of the Dairies Division."
