 Extension of Columbus acquisition longstop date a further 15 days to 15 March 2015

Cable & Wireless Communications Plc ("CWC") today announces it has agreed with the shareholders of Columbus International Inc. ("Columbus") to extend the longstop date for the receipt of required consents and approvals for the proposed acquisition of Columbus, announced on 6 November 2014. The longstop date will be extended from 28 February 2015 to 15 March 2015.
