Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Cyril Sweett, the international construction and property consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Lindsey Hewitt to the Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Jeff, 62, is a chartered accountant and has substantial experience as a director of listed companies, latterly in non-executive roles. After an executive career with Electrocomponents Plc, Coats Viyella Plc and Unitech Plc, Jeff has held a number of non-executive appointments and chaired board committees and meetings of pension scheme trustees. He holds an Oxford MA in Chemistry and an MBA emphasising Finance and Marketing from Stanford, California.

His current appointments are with Cookson Group Plc (as Director and Chairman of Audit Committee), Regenersis plc (as Chairman and as Chairman of Audit and Nomination Committees), John Lewis Partnership (as external Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee), ZincOx Resources plc (as Deputy Chairman and Chairman of Audit Committee), Cenkos Securities plc (as a Director and Chairman of Audit Committee) and Electrocomponents Plc (as Chairman of UK Pension Fund Trustees Board).

Jeff has been involved in corporate transactions which have delivered significant shareholder value in businesses as diverse as Unitech Plc, Whatman plc and TDG Plc.

Commenting on his appointment, Jeff Hewitt said:
