Carpetright plc ("the Company")

Carpetright plc announces that it has, on 26 September 2012, allotted a total of 25,419 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the share capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), representing 0.04% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company. The shares will be issued at a subscription price of 651.5p per Ordinary Share, this being the closing price of an Ordinary Share on 25 September 2012.

Darren Shapland subscribed for the shares in cash and his shareholding, following the allotment is 25,419 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.04% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Applications will be made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the 25,419 Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. It is expected that admission and commencement of dealings in the Ordinary Shares, which will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares in issue, will take place on 2 October 2012.

Following this allotment the total issued share capital of the Company will increase to 67,575,799 Ordinary Shares with each share holding one voting right.
