Cape PLC29 August 2006 Cape PLC ("Cape" or the "Company") DAVID ROBINS JOINS CAPE PLC AS A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Cape PLC (AIM:CIU) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Robins as anon-executive director with effect from 1 September 2006. David Robins is a partner with city law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP. Hespecializes in all aspects of corporate finance including acquisitions, mergersand funding issues. Before practicing as a solicitor, David was a corporatefinance executive with a leading merchant bank. Between June 1999 and May 2001,David was a non-executive director of Hornby Plc where he had significant inputin the strategic repositioning of that company. In October 2002 he was appointeda non-executive director of AIM listed telematics service provider, CybitHoldings Plc. Commenting on his appointment, David McManus, Cape's Chairman, said: "We are delighted that David is joining us. He brings a wealth of corporatefinance experience to the Cape board which will be of enormous value to theGroup as it implements its acquisitive growth strategy." Cape also announces the resignation of John Pool who retires as a non-executivedirector of Cape, a position he has held since 1997. David McManus said: "John has played a significant role in the progress seen at Cape over the lastnine years. I along with the rest of the Board would like to thank him for hiscontribution and wish him well in all that he does in the future." David Robins will take over the chairmanship of Cape's Audit Committee from JohnPool.
