COO and Committee Changes
Chief Operating Officer
The Board of Chime, the leading marketing services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Smith as Chief Operating Officer with effect from the 1st January 2011.
Mark has been Finance Director of Chime since the management buyout in 1989 and has successfully steered the Group through rapid growth following its listing in 1994, the difficult trading conditions during the downturn in 2000/2001 and the significant growth and success of the Company since.
Mark will continue with his responsibilities as Finance Director and the Finance Team has been strengthened accordingly. The new title will not affect his Board responsibilities.
Commenting upon the appointment Lord Bell, Chairman, said "Mark is one of the founding Directors of our Group and this appointment reflects his increasing contribution to the continued success of the business whilst maintaining robust financial management and the broadening of his responsibilities as we continue to grow."
Committee Changes
In addition, the Board announces changes to the composition of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee of the Board. Catherine Biner-Bradley, non-executive director, is to stand down from the Committee at the end of the year and is to be replaced by Richard Alton, non-executive director.
