 New CFO Appointed

Clarity Commerce Solutions plc (AIM:CCS), a leading supplier of software solutions for the hospitality, retail, leisure and ticketing sectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Ford as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Christopher Mark Ford (45) qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in 1989 and has significant Finance Director and City experience with a strong track record of managing revenue and earnings growth underpinned by strong international exposure. He has also played key roles within senior management teams across the entire corporate lifecycle from IPO through to fundraisings, acquisitions and disposals.

His most recent role was Finance Director at Comensura Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Impellam Group PLC (formerly Corporate Services Group PLC) which provides a technology platform allowing clients to consolidate fragmented supply chains.

Prior to this he held a number of senior finance roles including being Finance Director of XN Checkout PLC which developed and manufactured hardware and software solutions principally for, the hospitality, gaming, hotel and retail sectors. This business was floated on AIM in 2004 before being acquired by Torex Retail PLC in 2005 for which Chris also managed the integration process.

Chris was also a former FD of Psion Connect Limited (formerly Psion Dacom PLC), which developed, marketed and manufactured data communications devices for mobile computer user and was awarded the Queens Award for International Trade. Chris will be joining Clarity full time with effect from 1 August 2009 but in the intervening period will be working one day a week with the Company.

I am also deeply grateful to Stuart Mitchell who has provided interim CFO support to us over recent months. Stuart has proved a valuable member of our team and been instrumental in overseeing the generation of quality navigational information and instigating improvements to our systems and procedures. Stuart will remain with us for several months in order to provide a smooth handover to Chris.

Our recent trading update indicated that our full year results will be ahead of market expectations and represent a strong improvement on the previous year. We now have eliminated net debt and returned to net positive cash balances with the business well-positioned for the current financial year and beyond. I look forward to reporting further progress in due course".
