The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcia Campbell, subject to regulatory approval, as an Independent Non-Executive Director. The appointment will take effect on the receipt of regulatory consent.
Marcia was formerly a Group Operations Director and CEO Asia Pacific at Standard Life.
She currently sits on the boards of Sainsbury's Bank plc, Murray International Trust plc, The Canada Life Group (U.K.) Limited and CNP Assurances (a company listed on the Euronext Paris Stock Exchange). Marcia is also a member of Aviva's independent governance committee and the Chair of the oversight board of Woodford Investment Management. There is no other information that is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Sir David Howard said: "We are delighted Marcia is joining the Board. She brings an impressive breadth and depth of financial services experience which will be of great value to Charles Stanley and our clients.
