Appointment of Ian Wood as Non-Executive Director and Retirement of Robert Heygate
Carr's (CARR.L), the agriculture, food and engineering group, is pleased to announce that Ian Wood has been appointed to the Board of Carr's as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 October 2015. Carr's also announces the retirement of Non-Executive Director, Robert Heygate. Bob, following 25 years of service on the Board, relinquishes his duties in April 2016.
Ian joins Carr's from Centrica plc where he currently undertakes the role of Commercial Director, International Business Development. During his time at Centrica, previously British Gas, he has held numerous positions within the company covering various aspects of the business including engineering, customer services, industrial & commercial marketing and energy trading, within the UK, Continental Europe and North America.
Other previous Board Member experience includes Accord Energy Ltd, Barrow Offshore Windfarm, Centrica Energia, Oxxio BV, SPE, European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) and Centrica LNG Ltd.

The lifelong experience Ian has gained throughout his career in leading commercial and operational roles, particularly within the engineering and energy sectors will provide valuable perspective and new insight to our Board of Directors.

There are no further matters requiring disclosure in relation to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
