British Polythene Industries PLC (the "Company") announces today (12 April 2010) that it has published its annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 December 2009 (the "Annual Report"). Copies of the Annual Report are being posted/ made available today to shareholders. The Annual Report can also be found on the Company's website, www.bpipoly.com.

The Notice of Annual General Meeting has also been published on the Company's website and copies are being posted/ made available today to shareholders with the Annual Report.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules (6.1.2) the Company confirms that there will be a resolution put to the Annual General Meeting seeking to adopt new Articles of Association to reflect the implementation of the Shareholders' Rights Regulations which implemented the EU Shareholder Rights Directive in the UK and took effect on 3 August 2009 and final implementation of the Companies Act 2006 which took effect on 1 October 2009.

Copies of the Annual Report, Notice of the Annual General Meeting and a copy of the Articles of Association showing the proposed amendments will shortly be available for inspection at the Financial Services Authority's Document Viewing Facility situated at:
