BPC, the oil and gas exploration company with licences in The Bahamas, announces that it yesterday received notification from Legal & General Assurance Society Limited LGAS & LGPL ("Legal & General") that, following the acquisition of 4,480,572 ordinary shares of 0.002 pence each in the capital of BPC ('Ordinary Shares') on 16 March 2010, Legal & General is now interested in 43,780,572 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 5.09 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
